It’s shockingly easy to create your own icons in Windows XP. Let’s do it: Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Paint. On the Image menu, click Attributes. Type 32 for both the Width and Height of the document, and make sure that Pixels is selected under Units. Click OK to create a new 32×32-pixel document: the size of an icon.
Now add type, color, or do whatever you’d like to your image. I like to shrink photos (headshots work best) to 32×32 and simply paste them into my Paint document. When you’re finished, open the File menu and click Save As. Use the dialog box to choose where you want to save your file, then give it a name followed by “.ico” (without the quotes), and click Save. (The extension “.ico” tells Windows that it’s an icon file.) You just created an icon! Now you can change any shortcut or folder to your own icon—just browse to it on your hard drive.

Open a dos prompt and give the command
convert d: /fs:ntfs
this command would convert your d: drive to ntfs.
if the system cannot lock the drive, you will be prompted to convert it during next reboot.
Normally you should select yes.
Conversion from fat/fat32 to ntfs is non-destructive, your data on the drive will NOT be lost.
Be aware that converting to ntfs will make that partition of your
drive unreadable under dos unless you have ntfs utilites to do so.

I Read this amazing trick from one website, i want to share this trick to all. Enjoy by trying this trick…
Today I will be sharing a pretty unknown trick to create hidden text files using nothing but Notepad, you can use this simple trick to hide plain text data without using any third-party utility or simply use it to impress your friends showing your geekness, the text files created using the method below won’t show anywhere in DOS or Windows irrespective of the hidden and system display file-settings, the files created using this can only be accessed if you know the correct file-name used while creating the file.
Simple follow the steps below to create hidden text file:
- Launch Windows command prompt from Start Menu -> Run -> Type cmd and press Enter.
- Using DOS commands navigate to the desired folder.
- Now type in notepad VisibleFile.txt:HiddenFile.txt and hit Enter, you can change VisibleFile.txt and HiddenFile.txt to names of your choice (notice the : between both file-names), You will be prompted to Create a New file click Yes as shown below.

The University of Cambridge is developing the super thin paper with plastic logic, which has the capacity to hold hundreds of separate newspapers.

It is done by using plastic microchips instead of silicon in order to feel like a very thin tablet of plastic. It comes with a high resolution monochrome (not confirmed it won’t have colour, seems unlikely as of yet) and weighs about the same as a magazine. It is around 8.5″ x 11″ in size and will support all of the industry document formats. such as Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
